My New Design has been partnering with ENSCI since September 2019
Context
The school was founded on the basis of an educational project open to the economic world, to train high-quality designers. Our partnership is part of this dynamic, aiming to broaden our perspective and research into the evolution of domestic and professional lifestyles.
This work hopefully leads us to new creations of elegant, comfortable seating adapted to our digitalized environments, where posture will become a topic of inquiry and a public health issue.
For MND My New Design, working with ENSCI means connecting with a hotbed of trends, gaining a privileged monitoring observatory, and finally, an opportunity to broaden our vision of comfort and seating.
For the school, which favors innovation and research approaches, the partnership with My New Design allows for exploring and shedding light on new avenues, participating in innovation, and conducting product concept research.

Future Positioning
Towards a contextual approach to design
ENSCI proposes to consider our objectives and its multiple constraints as the starting point for designing our future seating. This work is part of a reflection process, a project culture.
Our partnership, beyond the search for design and comfort, simultaneously focuses on the development of the "slow made" concept.
The 2020 objective will therefore be research work on the following points:
Traditional know-how
The search for specific artisanal or entrepreneurial human skills with particular know-how (upholstery, metalwork, weaving...)
Medium-scale production: Quality over quantity
Production and realization of products excluded from mass production, which promises superior quality at the end of the line.
Proximity of production
By avoiding the delocalization of production, manufacturing is better supervised and monitored. We ensure that everything is done correctly and, above all, under good conditions. Particular attention is paid to each step.
Awareness of environmental and social impacts
Slow made is a guarantee of quality, but also an eco-responsible movement, under conditions that are mindful of the environment and people.
