Article: It's back to school for everyone, with or without a recliner.

C’est la rentrée pour tout le monde avec ou sans fauteuil de relaxation
Actualités

It's back to school for everyone, with or without a recliner.

So how can you make this back-to-school season an opportunity to live life to the fullest and savor it completely!

Yes, the back-to-school season is too often relegated to worries and negative information conveyed by the media and those around us, studies having shown that negative information captures attention much more than good news.

So, in this blog, we are going to propose positivity for the back-to-school season of September 2022!

How can you remain relaxed and cheerful in this supposedly anxiety-provoking climate? As wellness and relaxation professionals, we will try to give you some advice; it's the least we can do, because once comfortably seated in your recliner, it would be a shame not to be able to relax there!!!

Therefore, in order to selfishly gather as many comments from happy and relaxed customers in their recliners as possible, we must contribute our small part by going beyond just providing a magnificent My New Design recliner.

And yes, we, the girls from Brest, would indeed love to come and tell you beautiful stories, make you laugh, and accompany you in this surge of joy that we are going to tell you about, but unfortunately there are too many of you...!!! So, victims of our success, this blog will be our small gesture for your humanity.

Let's start with the definition of the word "back-to-school season":

In itself, the back-to-school season is anything and everything: the literary season, the political season, the cultural season, the school season... and yet we forget the essential: Our back-to-school season!

No one talks about our back-to-school season, and that's a shame. Our back-to-school season is first and foremost a change in intellectual rhythm; we suddenly go from "detective novels, celebrity magazines, and sudoku" that many of us only allow ourselves during the holidays to "TV news, political shows..." and all without mental preparation. It's inhuman!!!!!

How do you go in a few days from "I'm having fun without guilt, enjoying myself, and I own it" to "Quick, I need to be on top of the news and, of course, be super serious and not get depressed" (that's better!)?

There's physical exercise. Oh, let's talk about physical exercise! Summer (well, it's true it was a bit hot this summer to push yourself in a triathlon, but still...). So in summer, it's cycling, walking, hiking, gardening, swimming... And suddenly, it's back to school, the shock! Quick, shopping, administrative obligations, accounts, budget, professional projects, children, etc...

So, how many of us swap our shorts and flip-flops for trousers and shoes or heels? In fact, it's as if we're also having our back-to-school season... But there's no more school!

There's also laughter and joy; you take the modified intellectual rhythm, mix it with physical exercise relegated to the background, and very quickly the words "joy" and "pleasure" are relegated to the hundredth place in the list of most used words. As for the word laughter, it's buried under obligations, duties, responsibilities, sacrifice, and so on...

Some of you will say that's not true... So for those "some," congratulations! Feel free to share your "don't put myself aside" tools with us!!!

In the meantime, here are our tips at My New Design for a happy and fulfilling back-to-school season: we've tested them and they work!

But it works better when, at the end of the day, reflecting on the positive day, we are settled in a recliner... Obviously! Well, that was easy, we couldn't help it!

Drumroll: for a relaxed start with or without a recliner

How to survive the start of the back-to-school season and remain like a reincarnated buddha: Imperturbable and positive!

First, let's remember what made us happy, joyful, and light during the past two months:

A good walk in the forest...

Unique encounters with people we probably wouldn't have spoken to if one morning in the butcher's aisle we hadn't met a friendly smile from a cool, nice person who was also queuing for merguez...

Friends or family we only see in the summer (and even then, only at weddings or funerals!) and who happened to be passing through...

The shutters we've been meaning to repaint for 10 years and which, thanks to a burst of good humor and energy, got a makeover this summer...

Casual aperitifs with neighbors on the balcony or in the garden (no matter where) and strangely much more relaxed than in winter...

The "shorts and flip-flops" effect...

A telling-off we almost gave, then finally, after reflection, we dropped it... Benefits, calculated risks, it was better to explain! Everyone was happy...

Let's remember all our little "feel-good" moments and write them down in a notebook, or even better, if we have associated photos, on our Facebook journal or in a photo album... Not forgetting these beautiful moments is so important for the back-to-school season. Let's keep them precious!!!!

Filling your adult backpack with almost childish memories and stocking up on joys and anecdotes! Not to mention that telling this to our children and friends is also transmitting joy to them. Good times are guides to relaxation and examples for our loved ones.

Yes, that was the spiritual moment of the My New Design team, specialists... of recliners, of course, but also of good advice for feeling good in your head and body.

So, let's talk about the body!

Manual or electric recliner, yes, but not only!!! you know

Relaxation, lounging in the armchair, that's for later... It's like with children: it's the reward. A little nap in an armchair... an evening in front of a good series "The Crown" (just an example!) in a recliner... feet on the footrest and we could almost imagine ourselves as Charles Eames!

But it's even better if "aches and pains" are set aside: a few stretching exercises are done before and after this delightful rest.

Flexibility: that's life, as... Sylvie said, of course! Our super advisor at My New Design. Even if we're stiff, we must try, and little by little, like a reed in the Brest marshes, we will bend. What a poet this Sylvie!!!! (Luckily, she knows more about recliners than rhymes).

In the morning, we get up (not all for Danette!) and try to touch our feet, and then at the office, it's the same, and whenever we can... Well, maybe not in the queue at the butcher's shop just now!

Walk, walk, walk: Avoid taking the car as much as possible whenever you can. We know it's hard (wind, rain, cold... but for those who would complain: What should we say in Brest!!!!!!)

Finally, you're perfectly settled in your recliner:

Recliners, you first installed them in your living room, then so happy, you bought another one for the kitchen, the hallway, and the bedroom: So now there's no excuse to avoid the next step in well-being.

Start by getting a nice notebook, a pen that writes well (that's important), a good glass (herbal tea, of course...), settle comfortably in your recliner and list all the small and big things you'd like to do:

Small things, like going chestnut picking with the children, remembering to tell my mother I love her, planting autumn flowers...

And big things, like writing a poem (Yes: for Sylvie, that's big!!!), taking a trip, climbing Mont Blanc (well, once you're flexible, it's not hard!!!).

Filling a wish book is like filling your diary when you're little!

So, let's put on our sneakers, do exercises, make wishes, laugh, be kind, and light-hearted to start and set an example around us. It's not a question of age, overwork, location, or health: It's a question of state of mind, and at My New Design, just like you, everyone, at their own level, has an incredible potential to make ourselves happy and to make others happy!

And then... we cuddle up in our recliner and say to ourselves: What an incredible potential I have to be joyful! How good life is!
