My New Design - Wellness and Health
Sitting comfortably in an armchair is so pleasant and relaxing, but it's even better after moving around!
Moving doesn't mean being "Jean Le Cam," a great athlete motivated by challenges, or setting the bar very high!
Moving can be: walking, stretching, limbering up, doing a few dance steps, or getting some fresh air for 20 minutes in nature or a park.
Everyone, whatever their level, can take care of their "human vehicle" because living longer is a reality today, with our life expectancy constantly increasing. Therefore, aging in good health becomes essential, otherwise, what's the point?
Physical inactivity has become the leading cause of preventable mortality worldwide. Let's look inside our bodies to better understand what's happening.
Physical activity, at all ages and regardless of one's health status, reduces the risks of cardiovascular diseases (strokes and high blood pressure) or metabolic diseases and numerous cancers (breast, colon). It also promotes an increase in "good" blood cholesterol (HDL), improves mental health and cognitive abilities in children, and preserves memory in the elderly (prevention against osteoporosis, reduction of the onset of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases): it is now recognized that physical and sports activity (PSA) is one of the most effective ways to reduce the onset of non-communicable diseases.
So let's move, young and old alike, without fear of thinking it's not enough...
The little we do is already good. It's the small steps approach.
Rest will be all the more enjoyable... in a good armchair!
